Title: Send next email interval
Post by: vdb86 on December 20, 2017, 04:19:23 AM
Hi everyone!
Is there a way to decrease this interval to less than 30 seconds?
I'm referring to emails sent for snapshots and video clips.

I see that by default it's not possible.

Looks like 30 seconds is the lowest it can go.  :-\ I presume one reason would be anything shorter then that, may cause email spam filters to kick in or possibly sending of too many emails with in a short period of time policy with some email providers.

Makes sense!
While I was going though the options I felt a trigger offset (or something similar) would be useful too.
For example I live in an apartment building and have my camera in front of my door.
Every time the light turns on camera is triggered (although technically there's no movement), if we had some offset which would allow for real movement detection that would be sweet.
Of course I don't expect dlink to read these forums and actually implement our ideas, no one does that unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. DLink does more review of the forums no days. So you never know. Would be up to them to implement new features though. More to it then just putting a few feature in as well.  ???

This should be pretty easy to implement, something triggers the camera and then after x seconds it double checks if there's any movement.
If there is it starts recording or whatever else.
It shouldn't be too complicated to implement :)

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. The US offers Chat support for consumer products at support.dlink.com. 24/7. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
