DWA-162 does not see 5GHz network...

Brett6915:
So I just purchased a DIR-836L and a DWA-162... The router 5GHz radio is enabled and I have a DAP-1513 connected to the 5GHz network along with some other "Netgear" USB adpters.
The DWA-162 however does not see any 5GHz networks.
Windows 10 Pro...

Any known solution for this? Will there be a Windows 10 driver released?

* What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
* Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
* What region are you located?
Wireless Configurations

* What wireless modes are you using on the router?

Temporarily disable WPA on the router and see if the 162 sees either 2.4 or 5Ghz radios. Re-enabled after testing.

The DIR-836L is H/W version A1
Firmware is 1.04.
USA
2.4ghz is on N only channel 9, 5ghz is N only channel 149, SSID is being broadcast.
I disabled WPA as requested... The DWA-162 still does not see the 5ghz network.
I do have a DAP-1513 and wnda-3100v2 connected to the 5ghz netwok.

FurryNutz:
Let us know if the 162 connects to the 836 with out WPA enabled. Try manual channel 48 on the 836L. You might try setting up either the 1513 or the 3100 as a main AP, disable the 836s radios fully then check to see if the 162 will connect to either 1513 or 3100. If it does then there maybe a problem between the 836L and 162. If the 162 fails to connect to either 1513 or 3100 then the problem is the 162.

I see there isn't any new drivers for the 162 and it's not on the Windows 10 compatibility list.

Keep us posted.
