Title: No motion detection
Post by: Banneke on May 20, 2014, 11:27:16 AM
The camera did work fine after 2 years now, but the last month I did not get any detections.
Email settings are oke, after sending a test, so I gues this is not the problem.
I tried a factory reset but this did not help.
The camera has firmware version 1.09.
Does anyone have a suggestion what this problem could be?
Thanks.

Nothing changed in the settings (I checked them serveral times now  :P ) he just stoped sending motion detection emails.
I even checked the gmail account on "return to sender" messages, but everythings seems alright.
I got more cameras from dlink and they work fine, only this one.
Does anybody had this problem resently? Could it be the last update?

Can you post your email settings?
Also, you may want to try another email provider to rule out gmail as the root cause.

SMTP Server Address: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Server Port: 465
Use SSL-TLS/STARTTLS: SSL-TLS

Do you know a good alternative email provider who wil not block the emails?

Try port 587.
As far as other providers are concerned, you can also try Yahoo, Aol, etc.
There are many options.

Port 587 and STARTTLS selected
Selecting SSL-TLS gives "invalid username or password"
Nothing changed..  :-[
Why does dis happen? I use serveral camera's and only this one gives suddenly problems  ???
I hope the rest of my camera's keep on working or else I have to spend a whole week to fix al camera's

It has always wondered me that there has to be an external provider to send the emails
This can be, or is a very fragile chain in the whole proces
Dlink should have a secured email service on his own
A good point on the wishlist!!

I noticed that this camera is not added in the MyDlink account
How can I add the camera to my MyDlink account again?
