"Motion Trigger Indicator" (Motion Detection Indicator) stopped working ???
It's the blinking red indicator top left of the "live video" page.
I am using IE for viewing... it used to work just fine. I don't use Firefox to "admin"
the cameras (I have two cams). I hate that VLC player plugin.
The only thing that I changed about the same time I noticed the blinking Motion Trigger Indicator
stopped working was new updates to Java... and I took out the VLC plugin... but since I don't use
Firefox that shouldn't have effected the Motion Trigger Indicator.
I am using the firmware update (which should be the latest)

That I installed last October 2012

This was "fixed" ??
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42024.msg200975#msg200975
Motion Detection - Motion detection indicator integrated in the web interface to more easily (and accurately) adjust sensitivity [FIXED!]
I haven't tried reinstalling the Firmware... which I guess is what I should do and see if that fixes the problem...
Motion recording does work, I get FTP's just fine and they also show up in the log file.
Anybody else have this problem before ?
Thanks group.

You could try an older java version for testing only http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/archive-139210.html , just don't keep using it since there's so many exploits floating around.

Thanks Skeletor... but no thanks ;) ;) !
I certainly wasn't going to reinstall an older version of Java when all else was working fine
with the camera.
But I did upgrade the firmware... the last version was from October.. but apparently
was not the latest.
Immediately I saw no fix to the situation... but just this morning, a day later, it is working
as it should be.
Computers... arggg ::) ::)

You might want to try to unplug the devices power to reboot the device.

Unplugging power to the camera is one of the first trouble shooting steps... been there done that ::)
Well... after a day... the motion trigger indicator is not working again.
Everything else works fine... the log file shows I am FTP 'ing no problem...
Oh well...........

I've had these (two) cameras for about a year... I think the problem is software..
