I seem to have connection problems with cs go on xbox which i believe come from the router. Every time I am about to join a side i get disconnected from the game. I have looked at the game fuel guide with no luck. Any suggestions?

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.

Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?

It's the older model on firmware 1.15, eastern USA, wireless. Xbox in the the dmz. I have a variant of AT&T dsl 3up 1 down. And seperate dlink modem.

Ok, seems like maybe we need to try the xbox gaming fuel guide again. Don't use DMZ as it's not needed.

Is the 4500 handling the PPPoE connected and the DSL modem is bridged?

Yeah it is bridged that way, and I will take it out of the dmz

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using Link> teamviewer if your interested. Its safe and secure.

mine works fine on cs, my xbox has static ip and reserved in dgl-4500. wired connection

maybe you have a strict nat? if you have a public ip in your router, try doing power cycle and try cs if it works.

Here are a few of my settings.

FIREWALL
Enable SPI-unchecked

NAT ENDPOINT FILTERING
both-Endpoint Independent

Enable UPnP-checked
WAN PING-off
Enable Multicast Streams-checked

Advanced Network
WAN Port Speed : 100

Gamefuel
disable Dynamic Fragmentation :

your xbox to 127 priority, the rest pc and laptops at 200.

my firmware is 1.15 and hardware A1

if your modem is some type of community network, ask your provider to set your QoS to 104 in your modem.

one more thing, use OpenDNS as your dns server, and if you upgrade, you can block ads on xbox live by going to your opendns settings, Web Content Filtering- Always Block: rad.msn.com

you can also filter internet by Proxy/Anonymizer, Adware, and other stuff,

this helped me on facebook third party ads, you can still see primary ads from facebook though.

another thing to try, privacy settings for your gamertag.

i had strict settings once, and on minecraft i wasn't able to share screenshots.

maybe this has something to do with the settings.

review your privacy settings for online play.


the game probably just needs more players? the less players the harder to find good hosters?
post some speedtest and pingtest results.
i haven't been on live lately, maybe you can post some logs when you're getting disconnections.
