Title: 2132 SD Files
Post by: MichaelCB on February 27, 2015, 06:40:05 AM
When I look my files on the SD card, there is a jpg at the start of a video file, a large video file(40MB), and a small video file(435KB). I can play back the large file. But the smaller one doesn't work. Does anyone know what that small file is or why it is there?

I think one mp4 is the pre-event recording and the other is a maximum duration recording? I don't know where the .jpg comes from. I have my pre-event recording set to 0 and I still get a 80k .mp4 file along with maybe 2 or 3 .jpg files and sometimes a longer mp4. I guess it depends on the mood of the camera at the moment. I'm wondering if the revision B cameras have all this weird stuff going on.
Now it's saving 1 or 2 .log files with every event.  ::)

Vlc media player should be able to play those files if there's really anything in then.
The log files are for when motion is detected based in your motion detection settings. Don't ask me how you get files without any motion as I get files with rev a. These cams are strange and have a mind of their own.
Oh and getting log files without video is annoying too.
