Title: Firmware in BIN, update wants PIB or NVM?
Post by: fatboy on April 30, 2012, 06:43:44 PM
The firmware is in *.BIN format.

But a firmware update through the Powerline AV Utility wants PIB or NVM.

How to do?

This is an old thread but just in case anyone comes across this, note that the bin file is in fact a password-protected zip file renamed from .zip to .bin. It contains the .pib and .nvm files, so probably the Powerline utility mentioned here is an old version and the solution would have been to simply download the latest version of the utility.

I presume also that the .bin file could have been used using the on board web UI as well.

The DHP-306AV does not have a Web UI. Only the DHP-W306AV (with WiFi) does.

So where can I find a newer Powerline Utility? Searching on Dlink-pages return nothing useful...
