Weird problem with my DSL-2750U U1 (White Casing)
« on: July 04, 2014, 12:23:34 AM »

Hey there :)

I've got a DSL-2750U U1 (white casing) ADSL router. A few days ago I had to hard-reset and reconfigure it. I did it an after that the local services like ftp, rdp, samba, dnla (between my smart TV and android devices) etc have stopped working between the devices connected through the LAN cable but they work properly when all the clients and servers are connected wirelessly :-\ I didn't touch any Advanced configuration in the router, also tried solving it by completely turning off the firewall feature in the menu, no chance  :-[

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?
  • Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting and maintain consistency for applications that need to connect as well as mapped drives.
  • Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.

Tnx for reply.
I live in middle east. These are already applied in my setup. An IP is reserved for my PC, the firewall is turned off completely but none of the applications can communicate through the wired connection. It seems that all of the ports are closed for wired connection, except 80. So confusing :-[
