Dear Friends I want to setup my DAP1522 as a Bridge with a laptop that has Ubuntu. I done it a couple of times with a PC with Windows 7.
I am not a complete noob as I understand logic stuff and electro/mechanical stuff easily however, I don't know the lingo so if you are willing to walk me through it please, no short hand or text language.
Basically I need to know how to change the IP address so that I can access the configuration utility with a
browser at 192.168.0.50 so that I can connect to our wifi with my AVR that can connect to the Internet only by Ethernet wire.

- What Hardware version is your DAP? Look at the sticker under the DAP.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DAPs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Basically you just need a wired PC to connect to the DAP. Switch the button on the back to the Bridge mode setting. Set a static IP address on the wired PC to 192.168.0.49. Open up FireFox browser and use 192.168.0.50 as the URL. if you set up the PC correctly and have a good working LAN cable between the DAP and PC, then you should be able to connect to the DAP in bridge mode and use the set up wizard to help you get the DAP connected wirelessly to the main host routers wifi SSID name.
