DSM-310 frozen after firmware upgrade
« on: March 04, 2013, 02:02:43 PM »

Today I installed the DSM-310 but after the device connected to the internet it started to upgrade the firmware. After it had finished and showed 100% completed, the remote stopped working and the screen showed no signs of the device doing something. After more tha one hour in this state I had tp pull the plug to turn it off.  When I turned it on again, the screed showed only the DLINK name and logo.

Is there a sort of hardware reset?

As far as I know, there is no factory reset button on the DSM-310 should the unit fail to boot or load the web UI properly. The manual is also silent as to any such functionality.

Since the unit has no interface (i.e. directly or via network) to directly access the back-end, you're best bet may be to call D-Link technical support. If they are unable to help, then an RMA may be the only viable option to remedy this issue.
