DHCP Reservation ... Why a device doesn't get an IP
« on: November 24, 2011, 02:53:02 AM »

Hi,

I have a device for which I have made a DHCP reservation (via MAC address).
But the IP is not being served to it from time to time... weird  ??? ???

Am I the only one experiencing this?
How can I find what is happening, whether or not this device connects to the Dir-855 but is rejected for some reasons ... I don't know?

What can  try?

Mayday!!
Thanks

Hi,

Firmware Version: 1.23EU
Hardware Version: A2
Product Page: DIR-855

The device is used in Home Automation.

.. I'm a bit lost there.

Any help or light you can shed would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

What devices are you trying to connect to the router?
How are you connecting? Wired or wireless?

Is the device your connecting getting an IP address at all?
Check the Status/Device Info/Lan or Wireless section for connected device status.
