Problem using incremental backup
« on: October 21, 2008, 04:14:30 AM »

Hi.  I want to back up my drives 1 and 2 to 3 and 4 respectively, using the incremental backup facility in the firmware.  I'd like that to happen on a weekly schedule.  But the 'incremental backup' checkbox never stays checked.  I have tried clearing the scheduled backups and rescheduling afresh but still I can't get the checkbox to stay checked. My drives are 1tb so I don't want to do a full backup every time - it takes way too long. Is this a known issue - or am I doing something wrongly?
Thanks

Not sure - but on doing some more reading I realised what I really wanted is synching rather than incremental backup (so the backup file doesn't keep growing and deleted files on source are also deleted on backup).  Have found some that is doing the job nicely.

Would you recommend upgrading to 1.02 anyway?

Been pretty stable for me; that said, I would ...

back
    up
      your
          data

before applying the f/w update.

Cheers,
