Post by: snapperhead on October 12, 2014, 12:32:07 AM
C'mon D-Link........ The whole reason I purchased all these camera's and NVR and installed Apps etc, overcame your ridiculous Java incompatibilities and UAC stuff..... Now I can't even see half my camera's on my iPhone..... the WHOLE reason I gave you all my money...... Having to re-enter full email and password when on the run is ridiculous also...... C'mon dudes !!

Where is the UPDATE for IOS8 already ?!?!??

Sorry, I've been out of the office for a week. I'm back now. I've forwarded this on to D-Link for review. Please be patient. I'm sure they will work on it. I see this as well. I can connect to my 933L once the info is entered. You can leave the app running in the background as well and it should keep the info. It just looses it if it's fully closed.  ::)

Ladies and Gents,
The new version of the app that will provide a solution for this inconvenience, has been submitted for it's distribution.  It should be only a matter of days, as it goes through the approval process, before it becomes available at the App Store and the update system.

We thank you for patience and would like to let you know that, just like you, we can not wait to have this issue resolved for all of you.

Temporary workaround:  tap the "mydlink lite app/icon", press the home button just once, when the home screen re-appears tap the "mydlink lite app/icon" again the app should load using the stored "id & password"!

i have a solution to this. Run the app and then immediatley exit and rerun the app. The app will log you in automatically.

Its not a great solution but it sure is better than doing it manually each time.

Rws147 has mentioned this already. Thanks for sharing your feed back. I can confirm the work around works too.

It's been nearly a month, still no update.  It can't really be that hard to fix this.  What's the holdup?

The support for this app is terrible.  Has anyone at DLink read the reviews?  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mydlink-lite/id372571229?mt=8

iOS8 was released TWO MONTHS AGO!  Was no testing done prior to the release?

I think DLink needs to hire some new developers.  I don't know anything about writing apps for iOS, but I bet I could have learned and fixed the issue quicker than whoever is in charge of it now...

Just purchased 2 more 942L cameras for the home and bloody annoying to find out that notifications aren't working!

Whens the ETA for a fix?!

There was an issue with Apply Legacy items. Please be patient.

The work around works for now.

The v3.4.0 app has been updated and released and is now live on Apples Store. I've loaded it and it works. Opened the app and didn't have to enter in any info. Automatically found my devices and connected to them.

Title: still not working after Nov 24, 2014 update
Post by: RNajarian on November 29, 2014, 07:38:12 AM
After literally one hundred desperate attempts to see if the developers fixed the iOS v.8.1.1  VERIFICATION  MAIL EXPIRED nightmare I submitted a ticket to have it repaired.

Long story short.... Customer service is lacking.  Issue still not resolved

The so called "work around" did not work.

The flurry of updates in mid-late November to the assorted DLink apps for iOS did not work

I have since disabled auto-updates to apps in App Store, the previous version allowed quick switching from my 5 cameras WITHOUT CONSTANTLY RELOGGING IN. I wish it had never auto updated in the first place

You would think this problem would elicit some sense of urgency in DLinks part, the company line "the developers are aware of the problem" is of no comfort one week later.

This problem was resolved in the v3.4.0 update. I've confirmed this with my own iPhone and it's now working.

I'd remove the application from your phone fully, reboot the phone, then re-install the application again and re-enter the account information and see if it works.

ok  I may have spoken too soon.

I uninstalled DLink Lite- DLink + - My DLink Home reinstalled all of them and they seemed to work normally for a day.

Today I tried checking the cameras and got the same ACCOUNT EMAIL VERIFICATION EXPIRED notice, I requested a verification Email, clicked on the link from a PC where the error message said "Link Expired"

After signing in onto my account I exited and tried to reenter the iOS app, and got the same VERIFICATION error/notice

Any suggestions?? I am frustrated

Thanks

Try clearing all browser caches before opening any links or apps. Then try the verification process again. Sounds the the verification process did not complete correctly.

If this continues to happen or you can't seem to fix it, Lets phone contact your regional D-Link support office ON THE PHONE and talk to someone there about completing the verification process correctly and fully.

Yes I have tried all of that.

When I spoke with tech support last week they stated they were aware of this problem. I repeated the error I was getting VERIFICATION MAIL EXPIRED  and they assured me they were aware of this and were working on it.

When I delete cookies, delete the app and reinstall the app it will work a few times then inevitably I will get the VERIFICATION MAIL EXPIRED message again. This problem exists for all DLINK apps for the iPhone.

So I am ready to seek help from a tech guy.  Any suggestions

I recommend waiting a few days to see if the problem clears up. If D-Link acknowledged that there was a problem, they need some time to fix it. Call back again to check on the status.
