communication error with USB drive, maybe?
« on: April 19, 2008, 10:12:44 AM »

I have my USB 250Gig harddrive from Seagate connected to my dsm 510 cause I find it plays better then going wireless.  This works for the most part, but lately I'm start getting a communication error and the video file I am playing freezes after about 30 to 60 minutes of play.

Would this be because of the drive, or the dsm 510 or even the usb connector cord is the issue?  The 2 times this has happened '\they have been divx 6 files.  I will check to see if it happens with xvid, or avi, mpeg 4 files.  But I don't think this is the issue.

It is hard to tell it could be the drive or it could be the file. Please try another file or other file formats and revert back with the results.
