I only just bought and installed the DCS-2330L camera, and already i've received a f/w update. Immediately, i've noticed a new option under "Manual Motion Detection Setup" called "Enable PIR"... which enables the camera to use Passive Infrared to detect motion. Has anyone else noticed any other new features with this new f/w?

Where did you get the new firmware? There isn't an update posted to the camera's DLink support page (http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-2330L).
Are you sure we're talking about the 2330L? The camera first shipped a couple of months ago with firmware 1.00B04. Moving to 1.01.06 would be an huge jump for a first update.

Yep, 2330L...

Interesting. Your link is to the Canadian support site. The US/global support site does not have that firmware. I wonder if it's safe to install for everyone?
Here's the regular support site -- no new firmware:

I found out about the upgrade when I went to use the mydlink app. It asked if I wanted to upgrade and it actually worked! I can now see what is saved on my sd cards.
