Yes for the money you are not gonna get anything close in feature set and capability. But no time stamp is a major drawback. The court wont care that your device costs $79 or $790.

Does this have the OSD text when viewing the AVI file?

I'm checking with D-Link to see what they are officially supporting.
export with AVI option and enable OSD.

Yes, that's the image I posted with it over top of the camera's osd.
the only thing is that it does it own formatting and white text and doesn't do the same option you have set up.

Thanks for the verification. Sounds like the DNR is good to go then for OSD text on output video.

Well like i previously posted, I downloaded the AVI option and OSD enabled, not getting the date and time stamp. Though the info is recorded in the Hard Drive and can be viewed by using  Dlink HDD Viewer offline. All my firmware for both cams and dnr are up to date. So, dont know why on mine i cant get an exported video with Date and Time Stamp

KK Update

I've been playing the exported files using Windows 10 default media player which is Movies & Tv which of course doesnt show the Date and Time stamp. Never occurred to me to try other players (aka stupid me).

Exporting using AVI option and OSD enabled ......and using any of these players....Quicktime, Realplayer, Windows Media Player, Movie Maker....... does show the Date and Time stamp.

Btw if you are exporting big files, just leave it in download mode and do something else cuz it takes forever to complete even just a few minutes of video.

Now all i need is a cheap video editor which can flip(or rotate) and mirror the video. Movie Maker can only rotate but not mirror.

Satisfied customer :)
