Red X next to Cameras
« on: May 11, 2017, 07:13:24 PM »

Everything was working great then later on today I logged into mydlink Lite and on two cameras there are red X's in the remote tab and I can't access them. The cameras work in the Local tab but I noticed the cloud icon to the right is lighter color of blue.

I also use the mydlink View-NVR and that works.

I tried rebooting the router, unplugging the cameras and nothing helps. All my cameras have static IP's assigned too.

I logged into mydlink.com and removed one of the cameras and tried to add it again in mydlink Lite but it still doesn't show up. Its just a huge mess now. What are the proper steps to register the cameras on mydlink.com again?

Router: DIR-850L
Cameras with red X: DCS-936L, DCS-5020L

This maybe a service issue. However all 3 cameras including the 936L is appearing online with the service.
You might want to contact your regional D-Link support office and ask about this. I haven't seen anyone else post about this kind of issue.

I've been struggling with this for the past two days. Its intermittent. I logged into mydlink.com from my PC few minutes ago and had all my cameras working but they weren't working on the mobile app (android). I logged in with my ipad and only the remote cameras were visible but under the local tab one was missing. It doesn't make any sense.

All cameras work when I enter their ip address into my browser.

Here is a list of my 3 cameras and how they are connected to my network:

DCS-2330L - static ip and using a extended wifi network (always works)
DCS-936L - tried both static and dynamic settings on the extended network (currently doesn't work) but was working at one point.
DSC-5020L - using router wifi network (was working but after restarting/unplugging my router doesn't work)

I did a hard reset on the cameras and deleted them from mydlink.com. It seems I get one thing working then something else fails for no reason.

Ok managed to get most of it to work. Just by resetting/setting up numerous of times. The only issues is I can't get the DCS-936L to load in the Local section. On my iPad I get a "Video stream lost..." error and on my Android phone "Could not connect to the device. Please try again later".

At first I thought it might be the range extender but that can't be it because I have the DCS-2330L working on that extender, plus I switched to my regular network and had the same error messages come up.

FurryNutz, you said your 936L is working online with the service. Can you view the camera in your LOCAL tab?

I know the LOCAL view of devices is kind of pointless (to me anyway) because when I'm at home my phone switches over to my wifi so viewing in REMOTE is actually using my wifi. And my iPad only has wifi so viewing in REMOTE or LOCAL is the same. It just bugs why I can't access the camera LOCAL like I can with my others.

Yes, viewable on either tab. However I use a iPhone.

If possible put your range extender on a different SSID. The cam is getting confused and locked out of both IMO.
