Update successful from my work PC.
Windows 7 x32
Java v8 B25
FF v35.0.1
I can access the camera and settings however no video is present. I presume this maybe a Java related.
iPhone 6P iOS v8.1.1 with app works and shows video.

Same problem from the 1.0 firmware....

Motion Detection Activate when switching from Day to night mode!

Imagine email flooding in "Auto swith"; every time email me when "Manual switch at pre selected Night time"!
Tried 1% sensibility and selecting less then 5 squares doesen't fix this RIDICOLOUS BUG!

IT WILL BE A VERY SIMPLE FIX; SIMPLY SET AN INSTRUCTION TO DISABLE THE MOTION DETECTION WHEN THE CAMERA SWITCH TO NIGHT MODE OR DAY MODE.

Also email and motion detection  When it start in programmed time mode... ? why?

I think that DLink developer doesen't test the cam before releasing the firmware! Please fix this orrible, stupid, but VERY ANNOYING bug!
Thanks

p.s Sorry for my terrible english
P.S.2 OBV I have sound detection disabled

This is indicative of all D-Link camera models. The transition between Day and Night modes is perceived as motion detection since the motion detection algorithm uses changes in adjacent frames to determine motion (image changes from color to black and white). Thank you for your comments.

You are right, I Know how the motion detection works in the dlink and other camera...

And this is my suggestion for developer, simply as hell and I think that they know to apply it!

When the lux sensors detects to switch day/night mode, before this shutdown the motion detection; switch the mode; after 2-3 second reactivate the motion detection! And woilą, problem fixed!!
I haven't the ability to write the code because I'm not a dev.

Or other simply suggestion: give the possibility to set multiple "interval time" to manually shut down and start motion detection... for example...

I have set in my cam to have day mode only from 9:00 AM to 16:30 PM; so at 9 and at 16:30 I receive always motion detection email.

Solution: Go to motion detection and set 2 Interval time to start and stop
1) Start Motion Detection at 9:01 and stop at 16:29;
2) Start Motion Detection ad 16:31 and stop at 8:59;

IF we have the possibility to do that we will fix the problem...
(BUT from last 2 firmware I have noticed that when starting motion detection I WILL ALWAYS receive an email for detection.... do you have this problem also?)

So please if you are a dev or a member who knows dev. please take in mind this problem and fix it, all user here WILL BLESS YOU!
THANKS MAN AGAIN

I'm in Italy and I have 2 DSC 933L in 2 different house. Wireless connected and working good, only this terrible problem! Thanks for replying!

We recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. This will need to be handled by D-link support. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Ok I will try to contact It by phone number.
But I believed that this is a bug for all dlink camera and in all region... or it is not?
Do you doesen't have this issue?

Thanks

All D-Link cameras behave this way.

Motion detection uses pixel differences between adjacent frames to trigger motion detection events. If Day/Night mode transitions were excluded from motion triggers, a burglar could simply flip a light on/off/on/off... rapidly, which would cause constant Day/Night transitions that wouldn't generate alerts -- resulting in a security gap during which time someone could walk in front of the camera with impunity.

AND I want You in this POINT:

Look at my example in the previous post!

I set the interval time of DAY MODE from 9:00 AM to 16:30PM; so email at 9 and 16:30 for switch
If we have the option to set 2 interval time to activate and stop the motion detection for this example
1) M.D. start 9:01 and stop 16:29; 2) M.D. start 16:31 stop  8:59 THIS WILL BE FIXED

THE SECURITY GAP will be only for 2 MINUTE A DAY in this example (OR EVEN LESS IF you set each interval only for 5 second).
I think that for example 10 SECONDS OF Motion Detection OFF IN NOT A SECURITY GAP, WE AREN'T the bank of america! LOL

So this well be a very simple FIX; PLEASE REPORT THIS TO THE DEV, AND PEOPLE WHO WANT "THIS SECURITY GAP" CAN HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOSE IT AND STOP THE EMAIL FLOODING!!!![/u]

But for me here comes another problem... When I set the motion detection to start I RECEIVE ALWAYS an email for detection....
This is also a problem for all camera or only for me? Beacause this second bug makes this workaround useless.

Thanks

PS: OBV in this way I will exclude the "Auto" switch and a rubber can't try to activate the switch because I have set it Manually!
It will be undedected if he pass the camera area in the 5 second pre estabilished for the switch when I have set up to stop the M.D.
But the probability to do that is like 1:99999999999999999999999

P.S. Trying to call the Italian Support number, 5 minute of waiting and nobody respond. Very good

This specific request was previously raised by numerous other members on most (if not all) of the other camera boards in this forum. I can assure you that D-Link does visit these boards and we do escalate issues that are raised with increased frequency. That said, repeating the request on this board will not raise visibility. Your best recourse is to log the issue with your D-Link regional customer support. Sometimes the call time exceeds five minutes. I've personally found that calling at the start of business hours in the morning is when it's easiest to get through (at least in the United States). Please see the following:

D-Link typically escalates issues for resolution based on the volume of calls received through the official D-Link support desk. If D-Link receives a large number of calls pertaining to the same issue, that issue is more likely to be escalated as a problem for investigation and resolution. To raise awareness, forum members are encouraged to call the toll free D-Link support desk to report their issue: 1-888-851-6464

I agree with you in that a feature that provided the ability to opt-out of motion detection events during Day/Night transition may be preferable for some users.

OK, I notice that my DCS-933L device reports a Sept 2015 firmware, but the MyDLink website says the latest firmware is this one (March 2015).
What gives here???

The MDL site has v1.12 which is the most current available FW which is from Sept.

Yes, FurryNutz, you get that firmware  - but only if you log in to MDL. If however, you have just installed the camera and dutifully watched the instruction video, you are supposed to go to dlink.com and select the DCS-933L product. This gets you to http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-933L. At this webpage, you see that the latest firmware is 1.07.03 Mar 5, 2015.
Which is why I wrote my post above.

I mis-spoke in the post above when I said it was the MyDlink website. Sorry.

The MDL is the main web site for cameras which is kept more up to date I believe. So you can always go there and find the latest FW for cameras. Not sure if the main dlink.com site will be kept up to date or not.
