Title: DIR-895L Wifi Died
Post by: mertol on September 03, 2017, 12:16:22 AM
Hi All ;

It's been just 4 days since I bought it. First three days I've experienced a few lost connections and a reset worked, though I wasn't happy that a high-end router does this.

However yesterday, suddenly all wifi SSID's disappeared , although less on the unit are all blue. Also GUI shows them as enabled. I tried disabling smart connect, changing SSID's, enabling/disabling, rebooting and finally a factory reset; none worked.

I updated the FW to 1.13b and suddenly wifi came back, however when I enabled smart connect it once back died.

My region is MEA , HW revision is A2
I upgraded to 1.13 the first date and wifi worked for 3 days afterwards

Everything else seems to work OK.

Any help appreciated

Mertol

Thx for the reply.

Factory reset has been performed. Yes I performed the factory reset after a FW loaded.

My internet service provider is DU and they are using an Alcatel fibre modem. This modem is working flawlessly with a link sys router and my wired systems are able to access internet.

There is no Wifi signal even 5cm away the router.

I believe the unit maybe faulty. I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
