Stuck at initial set up - Detecting Internet Connection
« on: July 12, 2018, 07:24:02 PM »

I was on DD-WRT, I flashed to the original firmware 1.01 using crash recovery. It flashed successfully and I did a reboot.
Now I go on the set up page (192.168.0.1) and the Wizard comes up. I click next and it shows 'Detecting Internet Connection' and gets stuck there.
I tried flashing the 1.10 Beta firmware but it failed. Tried on IE and Chrome

Any ideas? I cannot skip the wizard.

How did you try to load the v1.10 FW? Via web page or Recovery mode?
Did you download the v1.10 and unzip it and find a v1.04 intermediate file included in the zip? v1.04 needs to be installed before v1.10.
You can skip the setup wizard and set up the router manually? I would try this. Skip the wizard then try updating the router to v1.04 then v1.10 using the routers web page...

I tried loading 1.10 using recovery mode because I cannot access the Web GUI at all.
So now, I have 1.01 on it. I cannot skip the wizard. When I close it, it reloads the wizard. I will take screenshots later and post.
I reflashed 1.01 as well to be sure and I just tried it on 2 different computers and I'm getting the same results.

Ok try using the recovery mode again to get v1.04 loaded on it.

Thanks. I managed to get it work.
At first it failed. Then I renamed it by trimming the long filename and it worked. I'm back in business.
