Default route override when OpenVPN is connected

Hello everybody,

I have two DSR-250N routers connected via OpenVPN. VPN is correctly conneted as stated in the Status > Active VPNs > Open VPN Connections.
I have two problems:

1. it doesn't add the 192.168.10.0 route to go through the VPN even if remote network is added to the remote network list in my local router.

2. the client adds an additional default route so that all internet traffic is routed over VPN instead of using the WAN port. This route is ADDED to the routing table as long as the default route through the WAN port is.

Local DSR network: 192.168.11.0/24
Remote DSR network: 192.168.10.0/24
VPN network: 10.10.10.0/24

I've looked for an option like "Route all traffic through VPN" but nothing is there.
Firmware version: 3.14_WW, hardware version: C1

Wha I'm missing??

Something strange: I can ping the 192.168.10.1 IP (using Maintenance > Diagnostiscs menu) from local router to the remote router but not viceversa.
I can't ping the same IP from a PC connected to the local router physical port.

Another strange thing: If I keep pinging something like www.google.com from a PC connected to the physical port, as soon as I connect the VPN it stops pinging.

Do you know if this router is sold as a working router or is it only a paperwaight I should return to the seller? I bought four of it to connect remote offices to central one.
