backwards compatibility - devices can not connect!
« on: February 22, 2021, 10:35:02 PM »

Please Help

Got the Dir-X5460 installed and working well with multiple devices old and new.

but I have one Laptop (hp with wifi 5- AC) that does not see the wifi network and can not connect to it.

i found a workaround to get this laptop to see and connect to the wifi on the router -  disable in setting smart connect than change the 802.11 Mode (of either 2.4 or 5 GHZ)  to NOT include AX,
then the laptop sees the network and is able to connect.

as much as i know AX suppose to be backwards compatible. how do I solve it that it will work with the AX configuration.

Thank you
Jay

Be sure the software and firmware for any wifi adapters on this one device is updated from the adapters mfr...
