720 by default?
« on: September 28, 2020, 06:24:07 PM »

IS it just me or it seems this camera is 720 by default - you have to connect to the stream and manually switch to 1080 if you want higher resolution?

Yes the new version of the app does that. It is for viewing only and you can change it to 1080. Wish it saved tho...

When recording to cloud or SD card, it will record in 1080 (or highest resolution the camera supports).

Statement from D-Link:
For the optimal bandwidth, the live streams resolution is always 720P by default. 720P requires less uplink bandwidth and gives better connection quality. Whenever in portrait or landscape mode, users can manually switch to “1080P” in order to have more details, if the Internet bandwidth allows.

For better recording quality, all recordings stored to the cloud or local SD card are 1080P.

Without specific information about the camera model or software you are referring to, it's challenging to provide a precise answer. However, some cameras may indeed have a default setting of 720p resolution for streaming purposes, as it requires less bandwidth and is more suitable for certain applications.

To confirm if your camera supports higher resolutions like 1080p, you should consult the camera's documentation or user manual. It should outline the available resolutions and provide instructions on how to change them
office cleaning services 30a. Typically, you would access the camera's settings or configuration interface (via a web browser or dedicated software) to make adjustments to the resolution settings.

If you're unable to find the information you need in the documentation, contacting the manufacturer's support team or visiting their official website for further assistance would be recommended.

Why do you keep bringing back 3 year old threads?  Just to hide your spam links that nobody is going to click, because there is so little traffic here.  Do everyone that is still here a favor and take your spam to another website.
