Tried that after I set everything up. Tried it again now.   I got nothing.

When I had SB enabled  my windows and mac computer did show under My networks in the GUI, but still never showed in the DHCP section.

Are you still in the return period of this router from where you bought it?

Unfortunately the 5500 had a bumpy ride during it's development. Thats not to say that ALL D-Links routers are the same. Do not let the 5500 spoil your experiences with D-link routers. There are better D-Link model routers out there which I have made you aware of. You got this router for a cheap price. Most of us paid full price when it first came out. Kind wish I hadn't however live and learn.

Other than disabling ABE and setting a manual SB value, not much else. I recommend returning the router and getting into one of the models mentioned do you.

Agree!  I've had the DIR-868L for quite awhile!  It serves as a great router AND AP!  Furry recommend this router for me awhile back, and I'm glad I made the purchase!  Money well spent IMO!  I'm also really happy with the DIR-890L!  Performance exceeds the 5500 without a doubt!  Keep in mind, there are a few "bugs" that I really hope D-Link doesn't drop the ball on (QoS / Naming devices & Re-naming devices seem).  I became really frustrated with D-Link after the 5500 falling short of expectations and D-Link seeming to "give up" on the 5500.  I tried a few other "top of the line" routers from other manufacturers, and became just as / even more frustrated with "buggy" firmware and "sub par" performance.  Just my two cents  ;)

Most of us paid full price when it first came out. Kind wish I hadn't however live and learn.

Add me to the list of "paid full price" for the 5500.  Live and learn, like Furry!  After my experiences with the 5500 and being one of the first to own it [5500], I did wait on the DIR-890L.  I kept on eye on the forums and did my research!  I think I waited too long  :D, because I would've been enjoying it longer had I purchased it sooner.  :P  I was holding out for the DIR-895L, as it was suppose to be released in the spring of 2015.  It's now fall of 2015 and still no DIR-895L.  I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase of the DIR-890L, even with a few "bugs" that still need to be worked out.  Again, I'm hopeful D-Link will get them straightened out.

If you can return the 5500, do it!  Give the 868L a try or the 890L a try.  If you're gaming (console or PC), I recommend the 890L!   ;D

Be aware that D-Link partnered with QualComm and there Streamboost technology. It was QC that had a hand in the 5500s bumpy ride.  ::)

I guess you could say so, but I still had "D-Link" in my blood  ;)

Hey, any chance you can "pull some strings" and "reinstate" my original forum username 'BiggShooter' ?  :)

Ok. Would have been nice if you had said something before storming off.  ::)

I'll ask, not sure if it can be. Have you tried to register that name?

I know....."live and learn"...right?   :D

I haven't tried to register that name....just thought it might be easier to "reinstate" my original username.   :)  I think just my "username" needs to be changed from "Vigilante" back to "Biggshooter".  If that can be done on forum end, that would be great  ;)

I'm BACK!   ;D

I lost all my "forum" stats, but I guess that's the price I pay for deleting my account in the first place.  Live and learn!   ;)
