Update on sound issues for this camera

I ordered 2 DCS-932Ls and installed them wireless last week, having a baby in January and want to use one for monitoring (audio and visual). Before calling the vendor to send them back i troubleshooted for solutions this morning.

Using the MYDLINK Android app on my Samsung Galaxy 2, i hear the constant crackling audio issues mentioned in this thread for both my cameras. Same for my Viewsonic Gtab (Froyo 4.4) also using the Android app. Routers used: Linksys WRT54G2 and Linksys WRT54GS

Discovered this morning: If i use my 3 year old Acer notebook (Windows xp) and go to MYDLINK running JAVA I get no more audio problems. So, i'll be doing the baby monitoring in the kitchen with the Acer Netbook. If a computer or receiving device is a little too close to one of the cameras expect feedback and howling of course.

I get crackling no matter what, I just turn the sound off and use an old baby monitor for sound.

New 930L user and new member here.

I am now a caregiver for an elder family member. To increase their ability to live independently, I've installed 3 930L cameras covering most key areas of their living spaces. I am puzzled by our version of the audio interference issue. When I log into the My DLINK website and select a camera via the website from the relative's home via AT&T DSL, I get clear audio. When I log into My DLINK website from work, I get variably either an initial buzz, or intermittent dropouts or intermittent buzzes, each of the latter two at intervals of about 2 seconds (or roughly 30 cycles per minute). I don't know if this is significant to the problem, but thought I would share as it seems a bit different from the versions you good folks have reported.

Regards, eds

Does the 942L have the same problem with static on the audio?

Thanks
