« on: August 11, 2008, 03:12:40 PM »

I was wondering does the DNS-321/323 feature a hard disk monitoring tools to run scandisk (see DNS-321 specification sheet and it says it has Scandisk), smart test because I don’t see this feature and on the specification sheet it has the feature and my friend also has an DNS-323 and we also cannot find it not even on the emulator from the support website?

Drive Management
• Four Different Hard Drive Configurations
• Scandisk (so were is it?)
• E-mail Alerts

The Scan Disk  button has been removed from the interface. This functions is unnecessary using the ext2 linux file system. Linux  does this on  its own on the boot process if it detects any problem in the hardrives you will get an amber LED on the DNS-323/321 and email alert informing you of this error.

But why can't we manually request or have a section for hard drive monitoring tools?
