Help with a DPR-1061
« on: March 09, 2010, 12:16:44 PM »

Good Day All.
Can you help me out with a DPR-1061 2 USB 1 Parallel port?
I have a HP Color Laserjet CP1215 and the latest firmware notes for this device say that it is supported it shows as Offline and if I send a print job it leaves the PC printer status window but never goes to the printer.

Also I have a HP LaserJet 3015 (Parallel port) that does not appear on the compatibility list BUT shows ONLINE and PRINTS FINE even though the DLINK's Status Page It has a NOT SUPPORT PARALLEL PORT.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.

Hallo,
have same Problem with HP CP1215 on DPR-1061, but only on a Vista PC.
On Windows XP PC it works fine. I have not tried to install XP Printer Driver
on Vista System. A HP Officejet 6110 works fine on both (Vista and XP)
Please help!

I have the same crap problem I have t USB HP printers: CP1215 and M1120 MFP. both appear Offline and I can't print, also they seems to be recognized by Print Server and the app PS-Link show the printers ready.
I have 1 laptop with XP other with Vista, other with Windows 7 and a desktop computer with Windows 7.

Does any one know if DLink will do something with this device DPR-1061 or if there a Linux firmware that I can use to flash this that would be better than killing my eyes and fingers trying to solve all the printing problems

I got same problem but now i already soft that. Only used PS-Wizard software for add network printer and make sure don't click link button on PS-Link software. If you click that PC will create USB Virtual Port and on web setup USB 1,2 already off line. You cannot used network printing. You must make sure on PS-Link software, behind port 1 or port 2 that appear disconnect. If that disconnect, you can see on web setup USB 1 and USB 2 already online. That printer is on networking.

Same problem with HP LJ P2035 - it's always offline no matter use or not ps-link's link prior connection.
Setup creates standard tcp/ip port with lpr and printing queue named 'device_name'-U1(-U2 for second USB port) but it's not working, tested also with raw 9000 and 9100 parameters - same s*** :(
At the same time another USB printer (Kyocera) is working perfectly.

Hi All.
I have problem on DPR-1061 2 USB 1 Parallel port with HP Laserjet P1102. It did not appear to online when I login to web console. However, it appear "Connected" at PS-link. I still could not print to the printer. I follow the Forum discussing to disable "Fake CD-ROM" for HP Smart Install with SIUtility.exe. But it still could not print out.

I did not have problem on Epson LQ2180 even the status showing "Not support Parallel Port".

Please help.

Try disabling Bi-Directional communications on the printer driver.

The issue here is that the print server sees the printer as being offline and so does not attempt to pass any jobs to it.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue yet as I too am experiencing the same problem

      Link>
Welcome!
  • What Hardware version is your DPR? Look at sticker under DPR.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DPRs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Router and Wired Configurations
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.
  • Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the main host router. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting.
  • Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
  • Set current Time Zone, Date and Time. Use an NTP Server feature. Tools/Time.

Wireless Configurations
Links>Wireless Installation Considerations and Managing Signal Congestion
  • Ensure the default (dlink) SSID name is changed. Can be anything and not something thats already in use by any neighboring WiFi routers. Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
  • What wireless modes are you using?
  • Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
  • Try setting a manual Channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
  • What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto TPIK and AES.
  • What wireless devices do you have connected?
  • Any cordless house phones?
  • Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer to find out. How many?
  • If you have any of these options, Try turning OFF or ON Short GI, WLAN Partition, HT 20/40 Co-exhistance and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Recommended settings are default. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
  • Enable WMM Enable Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
  • Try setting Medium or Low power output settings and test again Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

How is the printer connected to the DPR?
What Mfr and Model # is the printer?
USB, LAN wired or Wireless printer? All?
What is your Mfr and Model # of the main host router?
