Title: unable to connect to wifi via my DI-524 router
Post by: Ksrekses on November 13, 2012, 05:53:57 AM
Hi everybody
I have my router installed for sometime and connect with it with my laptops without any problem. However I cannot connect to  Wi-Fi with my smartphone ( samsung galaxy mini2 with an 2.3.6 version of Android). I use correct password.
In the same time the phone connects with other routers without any problem, and the router also gives services to other smartphones.

I have tried to change setting of the router but with no result.

Please help me.

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
What region are you located?

What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.
What wireless devices do you have connected?
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/) to find out. How many?

Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
