I just recently bought my own cable modem(Motorola SB6141) instead of paying the $7 rental fee from Comcast.

I have been trying to get a Minecraft Server to work and thought it could be the Comcast modem/router that was giving me the problem. That is the reason I went with just a modem thinking that would fix it but it seems that is not the problem. I have set up the port forwarding correct from tutorials that i have found on the internet  but it still seems like it just won't work.I have the DHCP setup correctly. I have just about given up on the DGL-4500. Please help me resolve this issue so I can get back to everything working properly.

There is 17 connections.
HW version: A2
I am running 1.23na.
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
8gb of DDR3 Ram
Athlon II x4

If this fails you might try Virtual Server instead....

I checked the ports I have fowarded and only half of them were successful. Of course the one that wasn't was the Minecraft Server, which is 25565.

And you are actively using that port when your checking the status? You have to be using it to check status or you'll get a false negative.

Hmm...wonder if it could be a game services issue.

Disable the PF rule and set up in Virtual Server and test...

You might power off both ISP modem and router. Power ON modem first then router and test again...

I reinstalled the MC server and now the port is open. It must have been something with the other server I was using. Thank you for your help.
