Hello, I would like to know how can I port forward in Dir-615

Details..
Router - Dlink N300
Model -  Dir 615
H/w     -  M2
Firmware version - 1.0.13

Even Cannot find any new Firmwares to update so that the UI changes so that I can port forward. So frustrated. Please help

Please Direct me to the path where and under which name the Port forwarding option is located in this hardware I really love Dlink but small issues make me hate it coz small issues becomes great headache some times :p

i'm located in middle east, my modem is Huawei HG8240 its a fiber optic box i dont know optical connections are cable or DSL

but this question is invalid the problem is related to router why do you need the info of modem n location ?

If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>Double NAT and How NAT Works. Call the ISP and ask to see if the ISP modem can be bridged. To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged. If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.

No my Modem is not bridged to router.

Listen, Modem is exposed to all ports because it doesn't have any firewalls built in .. But the router is blocking all the ports so to host any kind of service on PC I have to port forward from router and I need help to PORT FORWARD FROM ROUTER NOT FROM MODEM. You get it ?

Router does not have any option labeled as "Port Forward" or any option related to port forward maybe hidden under different name(s) so i need port forwarding from router weather help me port forward or point to a supported firmware for my router's model so that I can have the port forwarding option

 I found the English UK manual online for some version 2 of this router and it showed how to set port forwarding.

Would you post some screen shots of this option missing from your setup?

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

As per your advice i called Dlink Customer care support and they said that for port forwarding i should either have a static ip address or dynamic DNS.. i said i dont have non of these so they told me to purchase a static ip or dynamic DNS and call back to then then they will be able to support..

I'll purchase a dynamic DNS and call them back and will ask for further assistance.

i bought the DDNS and called them back back cannot hear them properly, there is some kind of problem in the connection i tried 3times but the problem persist..
i'll call them again tomorow and post how it goes

Hi !

I created this account just to give the SOLUTION that I've found, as I can't understand russian language  , and as the firmware version 1.0.13 has no manual available in english. So, I wanted to create my own Call of Duty Modern Warefare 3 Server, and I succeeded  . I'm so happy, then I share it now.














  It's quite simple, look for :

Advanced settings > Firewall > Virtual Severs > Add > You fill that form > Save

System > Save

And there you go !
