itunes server
« on: January 07, 2017, 06:16:43 PM »

Just got my DNS-345 and setting various things up.

What I've figured out so far is that I just need my iTunes folder (which contains the .ITL file) copied to the NAS, set it up to point to that folder, etc.

But my Windows PC does not have the music (mostly mp3 files) in the iTunes Media\Music subfolder. So I'm wondering how iTunes will know how to find the files (after you have connected to the shared library from one of the other computers). I'm thinking a symlink pointing the iTunes Media/Music sub folder to the /mp3 folder where my music will reside. Is this correct?
