Title: Dlink DSR250 IPsec VPN - Xauth error
Post by: kungpow112 on May 26, 2013, 09:55:08 PM
I have a fortigate60c that is the IPsec dialup vpn gateway and the remote sites are using dlink dir130 vpn router with xauth.

All of the dlink dir130 vpn routers are working with the fortigate60c with no problem.

The new dlink dsr250 vpn router is not establishing a vpn tunnel with the fortigate 60c and this is the error message in the dlink dsr250 vpn log: "ERROR: Xauth mode config request but peer did not declare itself as Xauth capable"

What does the xauth error message mean? Is the new dlink dsr250 vpn router not compatible with the fortigate60c?

You'll need to phone contact your regional D-Link support office and inquired about using the 250 in configuration with an external authentication device. There could be a configuration that is missing or compatibility issue here.

Let us know what they say. Good Luck.
