Title: Cloud Access/Setup
Post by: amorgan on June 19, 2012, 01:06:07 PM
Does anyone know where to get the mydlink cloud add on for the DNS-325? I have looked all over and I can only find the iOS app but not the add on to install on my DNS 325.

Thanks

Please note on the iTunes App Store it says the following about the "My Dlink Access App"
Note: If you are using a DNS-325 or DNS-345 please use the “mydlink Cloud” app.

Hi!
Have you made any progress on this?
Now that I got interested in this Cloud thing, I have to say that this is a prime example of a confusing, badly packaged & marketed product.
If you know anything about availability of mentioned add-on, please let me know.
I can so far only show D-Link presentations that show screenshots of Cloud add-on in ShareCenter.
Not to mention the general quietness on DNS firmware front.

So far you will need a Cloud-enabled product for this. Currently they all seem to bear the letter L at the end of their model names.
So as for NAS, you will need the DNS-320L : https://www.mydlink.com/faq/DNS320L (https://www.mydlink.com/faq/DNS320L)
PS As I said earlier, some D-Link presentations mention Cloud Add-On for DNS-325 and DNS-345 as well.

There is an application for DNS-325 called "Mydlink Cloud Package", but only for beta testers.
I'm testing it with firmware 1.02 (latest stable release for DNS-325), it allows to access to NAS folders and to cloud space (2 GB is the free space).
Logically only with this NAS application you can create a new account on mydlinkcloud space (more info and apps on site www.mydlinkcloud.com).
After creating it, you can use the application to sync data with computer/smartphone (I am testing the Android application).

Well, the cloud access add-in is now part of 1.03 firmware.

I've noticed that running the cloud app on the DNS-325 will prevent the drives from hibernating. Has anyone else experienced this, or know of a fix?
