Hi there,

there seems to be new version of firmware available for DIR-685, dated 2012/04/22:

I have already tried flashing it, no problems found. WiFi sensitivity did not improve much, NAS read/write speed is still (miserably in my case) slow but I have found new option in the storage setup menu where you can change your share name to whatever you want. I know some of the users here have been asking for this feature so it seems afterall someone from D-Link cares :)

Beware, this is only for WW units, EU, RU and Asia. Not supported on NA units. There is v2.01 for NA units.
