unable to log into DCS 920 from remote
« on: September 22, 2009, 10:00:02 PM »

Hello, I am new to this and just purchased a dcs920. I have a buffalo WZR_HP-G300NH wireless router and aztech dsl605E modem which is a bridge. i have configured the camera via dlinkddns. i am able to connect to it via the home desktop using the D view software but when i try to connect it via the ddns name it directly goes to the router setup page.
This happens even when i log in from the office. i dont know where i made the mistake since the ddns seems to direct me to the right computer from outside but not the camera. I have given the camera a static address .

Enable the secondary port on the camera (port 81) and create a port forwarding rule to port 81 of the camera. Then you will access the camera at the DDNS name and port 81. There are FAQs at dlink.com and goto support and choose your camera model. I believe the manual also explains remote access on pg 55
