Title: Config Timeout error
Post by: ceefive on June 28, 2018, 01:40:40 AM
Hi,
I'm getting "Config Timeout - Set config timeout, please try later. - Error 0.70_2_5_E_0_ " or Error 0.70_2_5_E_3E9_ on 3 cameras.
2xDCS-5020l and DCS-930LB1
Firmware updated. Static IP configured on all. upnp active with forwarding also.
They are wifi connected.
Have newly reset them all and reconnected to mydlink.com.
My router is Asus RT-AC68U - with latest firmware.
Firewall enabled.
Sometimes I get a good connection from iPhone - often the above error.
Cameras worked fine in 2016/2017 - but now I start getting this error.
Have noticed in this forum other users experiencing the samme error - but see no solution.
Advice appreciated - thanks.

I recommend that you phone contact https://www.mydlink.com/contact (https://www.mydlink.com/contact) support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

When are you getting this error?

What version of the mydlink lite app are you using?

I get this error when phone is on 3G or 4G mobile connection. When phone is on Wifi I dont get it.
I dont get it all the time - but more than 50% of the time.

iOS 11.4
MyDlinkLite ver. 3.8.7

the error message tells me to "Set timeout" - as I read it - how do I do that ?

Thanks FurryNuts - I appreciate your attention on my problem.
Before my post I searched the forum to see if other users has had the same problem.
you have replied the same to them "call support" - "keep us posted"
Did you get any feedback from the other reports on this type of problem ?
I guess Dlink support has seen it also. I have reported mine - and the asked me to "reset everything". I did tant - and the issue is still there.
input appreciated.

Does this happen with the new mydlink app? Install it and see if you can connect (you do NOT need to reinstall your cameras, just log in the new app with the same mydlink email and password).

Who is your ISP?

What model modem are you using?

Lokal utility Company provide 100/100mbit connection.
Using Asus ac68u router.

Setup has worked in the past.
Yesterday I granted Support access to my dlink account and they are able to reproduce the error with the iPhone app. Android app works fine they say.
Now awaiting message from development.

Seems problem lies in the iPhone app. Hope they fix it soon.

Has the camera been rebooted.
Might try a factory reset, remove from the mydlink services, then re-add it and then try the app again...
Keep in contact with D-Link support about this...
