Title: Cant receive faxes with Vonage
Post by: Nierka on December 05, 2007, 11:40:39 PM
I'm using Vonage VoIP Phone and Fax. I had old Netgear router, worked fine but kept sometimes disconnecting. Now I changed netgear to D-Link DGL-4100 and now I have problem with my fax. I can send faxes but cant receive them, phone works fine. I checked routers log and found : [INFO] Thu Dec 06 00:15:58 2007 SIP ALG rejected packet from 192.168.0.114:10000 to 69.59.240.103:10000
192.168.0.114 is Vonage VoIP box and 69.59.240.103 is Vonage IP.
Why its rejecting packet? Is there any way to set up router to correct this issue?

My network set up is: [Comcast cable modem]--->[DGL-4100]-->Cable1 to PC | Cable2 to [Vonage  Motorola VT2442]--->phone line and separate Fax line.
Below is my network config picture (Config1). When I take off DGL router (Config 2 in picture), everything works fine.

The network drawing is a nice touch.

I never used faxing on my VT2442 but I did use it with a DGL-4100.

Have you tried DMZing the VT2442? What firmware are you using on the 4100? Try disabling the SIP ALG on the DGL-4100 as well.
