Netgear's Readyshare
« on: October 16, 2020, 06:42:59 AM »

I have a DCS 930, DCS 2132L and DCS 5009.  I just bought a Netgear r-7800 router. I have a 1TB Western digital Drive attached to the USB port. I cannot get any of my cameras to save to that drive with ReadyShare. The closest I've got is when I test it I get a message saying that folder cannot be created. I have been able to FTP via my web browser and Filezilla but my camera's will not save to that drive. I had no problems with my old Asus router and that 1TB drive. Has anyone here figured out how to set up ReadyShare with these cameras? I do have an old DIR-850 D-Link router. Is there anyway I can hook that into my network and use it for a dedicated FTP storage?

You won't get much help here on how to use ReadyShare. That's a Netgear thing. (And not that capable.)

Try here:

You can try using D-Links D-View Cam to save video data to a drive.
