DGS-1008G Switch and Vizio TV
« on: May 17, 2011, 05:18:30 PM »

Anyone have any luck getting a Vizio TV to get an IP address through the DLink switch?

I have a cable modem doling out IP addresses, the yellow light (meaning 100Mbps connection) is on the Dlink, but I can't get an IP Address.  My computer gets one fine, but the Vizio is unable to negotiate an DHCP address.

Thanks!

does it get a ip address if you by pass the switch?
Is there a speed connection setting on the TV? Try setting to 10 or 100?
Try a different cable? Ensure cabling is in good condition?
Are the settings on the TV set for Auto obtain an IP address or manual?
