This happen with IE or FF or Chrome?

What do you have connected to it? Any USB drives?

Is Media server Enabled? Disable Media Server and test again?

The router did not response after 3 days usage. I am running the latest Beta version.

The stable version also got the same error after 4-5 days of running.

Hope D-link can fix this soon :)

This has been tested on IE, Chrome and Firefox. All get the same problems.

None of devices that connect to the router.

Media Server is disabled on testing.

Would you just enable Media Server and see what happens?

I have gotten this SAME error message at times.  I've not been able figure out what causes the issue however, it always seems to resolve itself.  It happens on both PC and MAC and occurs across all browsers (Safari / IE / Chrome / Firefox).

ENABLE MEDIA DEVICE [CHECKED] - NO USB devices connected

Thanks for posting Shooter...Please make not of any configurations, Media Server enabled or disabled, any USB drives connected. Last configuration and reboot state.

Clear any browser caches and re-test.

I will try it now, but I don't think that was the cause of the problem.

Thank you for your quick reply.

The error occurred faster than I think when the was around 80 people connect to the network.

P/s: The Media Server is on while testing.

I am running a small hotel here, so normally there will be around 80-100 devices connect to our network. Cheer ;D

It is both wired and wireless ( those connect to DGL-5500 router about 2-3 only ). The rests connect through APs in each floor.

Now I find it is interesting too as you mentioned. LOL  :P.

The Stream Boost technology is not only limited for gaming, right ?  ;)

Hope new beta firmware soon be released  :-*

Ya, i'm wondering if the 5500 is not really best suited for your needs. A DIR-865L or 868L might be better.

Will be posted when it comes available.

Any status on this?

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using Link> teamviewer if your interested. Its safe and secure.

Yes it's going, I can't reasonably say everything is correct.

I found out what is using the missing ip. I forgot that my printer was still on when adding devices last night and I'm assuming, because the config for the router never shows my printer using the wifi that is has assigned it self to the 192.168.0.101 ip so that blows up the lease expiring thinking.

I use firefox for configuring the router which I did for my DGL-4300.

In this day and age of the internet and browsers, based on a company like Dlink, am I to be convinced that I use or should use a different browser for configuring? There are major players in the browser business we know that, and Dlink surely knows that as well. So suggesting a different browser made me even more frustrated.

The password forgetting after save is a firmware issue, also I shouldn't have had to reboot the router to add the second pc.

I did not receive this router for free, I am an end user that put 200 bucks down.

Hard to, can't, and will NOT recommend this router to anyone. I am really that unhappy with my purchase.

I will put my contact info below, so if anyone wishes to speak to me in person, or in writing. I'm willing to explain my reasons for not recommending this router.

I have an HTPC (wireless) connected and the 5GHz band is unstable...

I have compared to 1.10b04, 1.10b09 for 5GHz stability. All seem to have a similar signal strength in the range of 50% +- but when using the beta FW only 2.4GHz has a steady signal, but not near the quality of stability that 5GHz gives me.

I installed and reinstalled my D-Link AC1200, trying to see why I couldn't hold a 5Ghz connection. If I ran the windows troubleshooter it would connect as corrected and then disconnect with a error triangle.
Using either b04 or b09 I have a steady 5GHz connection.

The website does not show b09 as available or released.. but if you run an FW check in the router software it offers b09 update. I am disabled and use my wireless HTPC a lot during the day and the 2.4GHz quality is just not there.. unfortunately this will make trying build 10 difficult for me. I do need my HTPC working correctly. Hopefully I will read that an improvement has been made for this and I can try it again.

When I first connected my router it had b04 loaded. My 5GHz signal was reading 68%. Now I'm lucky if I get 50% stable.. can drop to in the 30's. It seems that doing an FW change has lowered my signal strength? Where is the 5GHz 'Boost' I read about, does 'StreamBoost' work on both 2.4 and 5GHz bands?

I did a restore to factory defaults and uploads of my saved configurations with each FW change.

Thanks
