Title: DIR-880L bridge mode
Post by: Krayzie on June 15, 2020, 11:34:52 AM
Hi guys, I just have a few questions regarding about my router. I used to bridge my router with the 2.4 and 5 ghz ssid's broadcasting but now its gone.  I switch it back to router mode a year ago. But now when I switch it to bridge mode after a year I cannot broadcast my SSID's like the ones I have in my router mode. The only option I can get is do a bridge mode with the main router put the SSID, security and the password. no other option is showing.  Is it a firmware upgrade? or did i miss something? current version of the firmware is  DIR-880L HW:A2 FW:1.07WW.

Are you referring to AP mode? AP mode is the router just broadcasting WiFi with out the router portion enabled. Wireless Bridge mode is the wifi working as a client that connects to a different source wifi signal, like a phone or laptop does when connecting to a wifi router. WiFi "Bridge" mode has been a standard on the 880L. You can set AP mode by manually configuring the 880L using this method:
