SharePort not visible from PC SharePort Utility
« on: August 12, 2012, 05:46:01 AM »

Hi all,

I upgraded yesterday to firmware v1.10, also installing the SharePort Addon.
However, the SharePort is not visible from my PC SharePort Utility.

I tried everything such as reboot the 323, map to an other USB port of the router, connect directly with my PC through UTP - no success.

(I have no time for Linux modding and only interesed to use SharePort if this addon would normally work)

Do you have any idea how to resolve it?
Thank you very much for any comment!

Check the firewall/internet security settings on your PC, make sure the Shareport utility is being allowed to communicate.

Thanks, this Shareport utility can communicate through my firewall.

I use the 323 through a DIR-655 router. I tested the SharePort of the router and it's working well, visible from my laptop.

I want, however, use the SharePort of my DNS-323, but it is not visible outside the storage: neither through the router, nor directly connecting the storage with my laptop...

Should/can I downgrade maybe the firmware to 1.09?

Do you have a USB device connected to the DNS-323 and do you have the shareport utility configured to make it available?
