Title: 931L bricked - emergency firmware update - failed to upload
Post by: kkx on May 08, 2016, 04:08:23 PM
This camera is working fine until an firmware upgrade trigger from the mobile app bricked it.

Tried to load the emergency firmware update page by setting my router and computer to 192.168.0.x and press the reset button and power cycle the camera.

Manage to load the firmware update page. Downloaded the latest v13 firmware, and try to upload it.

At 97% it failed.

Tried a few time with different version of firmware. No change. Sometime the upload can hang at 1%.

Anyone face the same situation and have a solution? Would be a waste to just through this away.

If the following fails, then you'll need to contact D-Link support to see what your options are:
Emergency Recovery Mode (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.msg163599#msg163599)

Suggest you to use the older browser (like IE8) to execute the firmware rescue.

Will try again using IE8 and see if that works.

Otherwise see if I get Dlink customer service to help me out.

Thanks.
