Title: Sensitivity Recommendation
Post by: cordthomas on April 04, 2016, 08:45:32 PM
I am new to security cameras.  I just got things configured using largely default settings using motion detection.   I have the DNR-202L recorder.  I set up email notification and quickly got several dozen emails of motion.  Nothing was overtly moving.  I have the sensitivity set to 85% (default).  It was around dusk and then night time.  Watching the camera I see a lot of dithering of the image.  Any suggestions for configuration formula?  Thanks in advance.

What FW versions do you have loaded on the camera and DNR?
Post a picture here in the forums of this dithering example: Adding Screenshots In A Post (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58120.0)

You can always lower the sensitivity as well and test, then graduate the setting.

Adjust the denoise setting in the firmware.  Don't go to far as the image kind of gets a little blurry.
