Title: Problem detecting camera in the network
Post by: ser12 on March 18, 2014, 05:15:46 AM
Dear all,

I'm trying to install a camera DCS-933L but with no success. I connect the camera to my router and I can see the green line indicating power on the back. Everything seems OK.  However, the wizard fails to detect the camera in the network. What can be the problem? I deactivated my firewall and I went to the configuration of the router to see what I could handle there, but I have no clue about what could be the problem. Could this be something to fix/configure in my DSL router?

Please, let me know what you think. Any suggestion is welcome.

Thank you.

Please try the following before running the setup Wizard: DCS Network Cameras - Wirelessly Connect a Network Camera and Router Using WPS (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58579.0)

Also, make sure you download the latest version of the Setup Wizard from the mydlink.com/support website.

Hi all,

Thank you for the suggestion.

However, it does not seem to work :-( The blue light indicating the WPS on the camera continues blinking for much more than 60 seconds and it seems that the pairing is not successful. However, the WPS light is green in the modem. Any suggestions?

On the other hand, if I could finally discovered why this is failing, could I configure the camera later with the Ethernet cable? For normal use, I would prefer to use an Ethernet cable rather than WiFi.

Thank you again for any suggestion.
