Me again,

There are 4 options for firewall settings:

Enable SPI. On
Enable anti-spoof checking. Off
Enable DMZ Host. Off

The following has bben enabled under ALG Configuration
Pptp
Rtsp
Sip
Ipsec(VPN)

These are the only settings available for my firmware/hardware combo. Are these settings OK?

Where can I locate the 2.1 firmware for my B1 hardware? Answer: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=51374.0

One other setting I changed is the WAN ping respond. I turned this off and wan ping inbound filter is set to deny all. Advanced/Advanced Network. Would this have any impact with my lost internet connection?

My last update:

I decided not to use the 601 as my hub. It appears to be too unstable to manage multiple wireless access points.

My bad, I should have paid a bit more money to get something that was a bit more robust; hence the saying, you get what you pay for.

In anycase, I am using the 601 as a wireless access point instead; I have not encountered any problems since.

I upgraded the firmware to 2.01 and changed the parameters that fuzzynuts described in previous posts.

Peace out,
Bob

On my Rev. B version 601, if under wireless settings, I put the channel width at "Auto 20/40" Mhz, I will lose wifi connection (but not wired connection).

If I leave it on 20Mhz wifi runs fine, but my wifi adapter says I'm connecting at 65mb.

This is with FW 2.01.

I recommend that you phone contact DLink support, level 2 or higher and notify them of this problem. I presume that your devices work well on other routers while using Auto 20/40Mhz?  ::)

You presume correctly!  Even on my Rev A 601 I can use Auto 20/40.  Was Rev B supposed to be released in North America?  ???
