« on: July 21, 2008, 09:32:47 PM »

Firmware 1.20
7/21/2008

¤ SDK upgrade to Ubicom 7.6.1
¤ Fixed TKIP/WEP encryption issue with DWA-160A1.
¤ Fixed WEP 11g/11b issue.

EDIT:

Just flashed.  All good so far.  Web interface seems snappier for some reason in IE7.

There seems to be a GUI error. I am connected to the network at 1G but the settings only allow up to 100Mbs. This is the only issue I've noticed so far.

You're connecting to your ISP (the WAN port) with gigabit ethernet?  How fast of a service do you have?

Just loaded it too.
It did not save the configuration information so I loaded them back from saved file.

Guest Zone is a new thing.

So, just what is this "Guest Zone" and what function does it have?

Looks like a secondary wireless setup, haven't looked real close at it yet as it's probably something that I don't really need for my setup.

The msxml 5.0 activex thing is getting annoying, running Vista and research says NOT to install it.

Yes you are right. I was thinking LAN. Sorry for the confusion.

You're right, I'm using Firefox 3.0.1 and all the settings pages do seem much "snappier".

I wish they documented the "Guest Zone" feature more (i.e. what exactly it does) but overall the pages seem a bit more logically laid out and feel more intuitive vs. the 1.11 and beta firmwares.

I still wish the thing would have better bandwidth utilization stats (a feature I REALLY miss from my old Tomato Buffalo router).

Yet another DIR-655 patched.  Updated from the 1_11MSbeta firmware.  Backed up all settings PRIOR to updating.  The router reset it's configuration back to default after flash.  Restored settings from backup.  No problems found yet....

I suppose if the WAN port speed is limited, there's no sense in upgrading to a flawed firmware.

I made a mistake. 1000Mbps should be for the LAN connection, not the WAN.
