why is it called a "Xtreme N Gigabit Router"?

also btw, can i hardwire a 1360 range extender to the 655 or do these two connect wirelessly?

They all have Gb capabilities, some just don't have the 5Ghz radio. Just because it says that doesn't mean it's got a 5Ghz radio in it. DLink has many models to choose from. Gb also means they have Gb wired abilities. Gb doesn't' apply to wireless as it hasn't achieve those standards yet.

If you need 5Ghz then you might want to look at the DGL-4500 or the DIR 8 series of routers. All good routers man. I've enjoyed them all. Testing out the 655 now. The 4500 has been one of the best.
