I can not get the Watchdog features (reboot and email notification) to work. I am running in repeater mode. Can someone tell me the values I should use to send mail from a Gmail account? (I have done this with the DIR-655 but this unit will not accept a string value for the SMTP Server. You also cannot apply a port number and I am not certain if you need to "Enable Authentification" for Gmail.)
Is the email notification sent when the system reboots and successfully PINGS or when the ping is lost? (I was thinking it would be a good idea to reboot the repeater if I lose my service provider. However, how can I possibly send an email under those conditions?)
Under what scenario would this be useful?
