Seems like i bring out the worse in Dlink products. Ok i sort of figured how to upload files to the DIR510L. I go to folders.. Select my USB stick I am able to navigate to the folders there but when I go to upload I am only allow to select Photo Albums... ahhh I am try to upload Documents..... Photos cool but documents are my intent.... do i have something configured wrong???

Not sure about uploading documents or text files. I didn't get my hands on this unit. ::)

been playing with it some more and falling back upon what is a new trick for this old dog.. went in doubt delete the app and try try again
I reset the modem to blow out passwords and the like. deleted and reinstalled shareport mobileand mydlink Shareport
I can access the DIR 510L wutht he shareport mobile and can pretty much up load and of the handled files types...mp3, mp4 txt pdf using the folder icon and th upload arrow
What is interesting is the other icons, documents, pictures, etc find any of the appropriate files even in sub folders as long as they are with in the Share Folder created on the USB disk. Not bad...The only real issue is that the upload function takes you to the emulated SD as the root access folder, not storage. This means you don't have access to the SD card
o
mydlink shareport also appears to work with the same limitations It does tend to crash when I try to access its device lisyt option but that might be because I have no dlink devices besides my routers
Not much guidance on these apps... they would be a LOT more valuabe of their root for upload when to Storage instead of Emulated SD card

Thanks for posting your experiences with what you got.
Ya, not a lot of information regarding some of these apps. There meant to be as user friendly as possible however I think sometimes they miss. Not sure how much longer some apps are going to be developed on and upgraded. SP app has been around for a while on PC. I believe most development will be on Cloud based apps where needed. However it's my speculation only.
